As a freelance editor, I currently lead When the Creeks Rise, a community journalism project about flooding in Atlanta. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive record that shows how policy decisions, development patterns, and underinvestment cause flooding that disproportionately harms vulnerable neighborhoods.
As a freelance editor for Canopy Atlanta and Atlanta Civic Circle, I led the Cost of Living, an investigative reporting and community storytelling project about the cost of living in Atlanta.
Long-term Project Management
As managing editor and later senior editor for Atlanta magazine and its lifestyle publication, HOME, I oversaw deadlines, fact-checking, copyediting, production, and invoicing—shepherding nearly 100 print magazines (comprising thousands of stories) from brainstorming session to newsstand.
